The second historical building in my wish list is Borobudur, located in Yogjakarta, Indonesia. My parents already told us thousand times of their great visit to this Buddhist temple. It was built during the 9th century, when Hindu or Buddha religion ruled Java. As Angkor Wat, Borobudur also once being abandoned and lay hidden for centuries by jungle and volcano ash. This is maybe because of the coming of Islam to Java during the 5th century. bla bla.. not interested to write it on.
The place is unique because of candi, stupa, the crafted wall ..bla bla..
Borobudur is still used for pilgrimage; once a year Buddhists in Indonesia celebrate Wesak. And it is the most visited place in Indonesia!!
